Sunday, 19 September 2010, 11.00 - 12.30, Auditorium
Providing Individualized Quality-assured Dialysis
Looking at today’s dialysis population we find patients with much co-morbidity, which together with an aging population commonly leads to difficulties in delivering dialysis to the set prescription. The Gambro Corporate Education Session will explore the possibilities to deliver Individualized Quality-assured Dialysis using an individualized treatment approach, focusing on the special needs of patients with diabetes and cardiovascular disease. We will discuss why and how an individualized dialysis therapy approach needs to be considered and illustrate with some case studies. The importance of a consistent dialysis delivery to all patients at all times, using available quality control tools, will also be highlighted.
