Half day guided tours
A walking tour of some of Dublin’s Georgian city terraces and gardens will orientate and educate delegates in brief on Dublin’s past and present.
During the early part of the 1800s, Dublin saw a building boom, much like today, and this resulted in Dublin emulating the squares and city houses of London. The Georgian style of building emphasised ‘light’ and the period is now recognised as the best in Irish architectural history.
Your walk will highlight these building features and allow time for a leisurely stroll through St Stephens Green and Merrion Square, which are present day public parks, and possible time to wander the quiet courtyards behind the Trinity College archway.
Duration: 2.5 hours
Price: €32*
* Minimum 10 people. Maximum 25 people.
** Tour available in English and Foreign Language. Most common language per group will decide language of tour.
Walking Tour of Medieval Dublin
Follow the trail of medieval Dublin, the places on which today’s Dublin now rests and surrounds, this tour will take you back to the city’s beginnings.
This will include buildings with ancient histories, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Dublin Castle. Over the centuries these have been built upon and expanded to become the large structures they are today, and their stories will be divulged as you stand among their grandeur.
St Patrick’s was founded on the place where St Patrick himself was said to have baptized local converts. In more ‘recent’ times, Jonathan Swift, the author of Gulliver’s travels,
was Dean of the cathedral from 1713.

The National Gallery was purpose built and opened to the public in 1864. In more recent times a contrasting light-filled extension has increased the space to house extensive visiting collections, while the permanent collection includes the works of Vermeer, Monet, Caravaggio’s The Taking of Christ and the Irish portrait gallery.
